
Queensland’s beloved Blues on Broadbeach just got bigger and brighter, today rolling out a stellar second lineup announcement featuring some of the premier names of the Australian and international blues scene!
Leading Blues on Broadbeach’s second 2025 lineup announcement is iconic sister duo Vika & Linda, known for their powerful harmonies and soul-stirring vocals. From church to the charts, Vika & Linda have enjoyed a remarkable musical journey, enchanting Australian music fans for the past three decades. After three classic albums with The Black Sorrows, Vika & Linda have released eight studio albums, two live albums and a chart-topping anthology. They have sung on number one albums by Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers and John Farnham, performed gigs for the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela and the King of Tonga, and been nominated for six ARIA Awards.
Hailing from Memphis is Eric Gales bringing his high-octane performances and blistering solos to the Blues on Broadbeach for the first time, presented with festival partner Memphis Tourism, the home of blues soul & rock’n’roll. Over 30 years and 18 albums, Eric has reinvigorated the blues with a virtuosity and rock swagger that has fans heralding him as the second coming of Jimi Hendrix. He’s earned high praise and critical acclaim from names such as Joe Bonamassa, Carlos Santana and Dave Navarro and his passion for the music and boundless desire to keep it vital has never waned. Adding to the international feel from New Zealand is Salmonella Dub Soundsystem, bringing their unique brand of reggae, dub, and blues to the stage. From humble beginnings 25 years ago promoting and playing after parties, the Salmonella Dub Soundsystem has developed into a powerhouse live dance act across the New Zealand & Australian festival and club circuit.
Blues on Broadbeach welcomes back curious musical explorer Fiona Boyes & The Fortune Tellers, Fiona plays deep blues, influenced by myriad traditional regional styles and has carved an international reputation as a blues guitarist, bandleader, vocalist and songwriter. With eight USA Blues Music Award nominations, career tour dates in 20 countries, and a recent induction into the Blues Victoria Hall of Fame, Fiona is not to be missed.
The Festival’s massive free program runs over four days, also featuring a sunset performance with Radical Son’s captivating soul voice, American slide guitar one man band Bob Log III, and festival favourites and core blues artist, 8 Ball Aitken’s All Star Jam.
