American singer-songwriter Noah Cyrus will return to Australian shores this November, celebrating her newest album I WANT MY LOVED ONES TO GO WITH ME.
The East Coast run of headline shows will open on Thursday 20 November at Melbourne‘s Palais Theatre, before heading to the Roundhouse in Sydney on Sunday 23 November and Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Monday 24 November. Noah Cyrus will also perform at Changing Tides Festival in Kiama on Saturday 22 November.
Co-produced with Mike Crossey and PJ Harding, I WANT MY LOVED ONES TO GO WITH ME is rooted in Americana, indie folk and country music. It’s a moody, dynamic album that mixes whispered vocals with full-throated declarations, all tied together by pedal steel, banjo, dulcimer, mandolin, cellos and acoustic guitars framing Noah’s smoky yet supple voice.
Noah pays homage to her family throughout the record. ‘Apple Tree’ features her late grandfather Ron Cyrus reciting a hymn written by her great-grandfather Eldon Lindsey Cyrus, which inspired the album’s title. She records ‘Don’t Put It All On Me‘, written by her brother Braison, as a collaboration with Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes. She also brings to life ‘With You‘, the very first song her father Billy Ray Cyrus ever wrote. The album also includes collaborations with Blake Shelton on ‘New Country‘ and Ella Langley on ‘Way of the World‘.
Speaking about the record, Noah says: “I want this album to offer fans a sense of comforting, peaceful nostalgia. That’s something I feel so heavily when I listen to music. We all want to connect with our past while also being aware of the present moment. Music does that for me, and this collection of songs was made with that in mind.”
On stage, Noah transforms her raw, heartfelt songs into a powerful live experience, creating a space that feels both deeply personal and electric. She’s toured extensively, supported the likes of Justin Bieber and played festival sets at OUTLOUD, Stagecoach and Coachella to name a few. Don’t miss your chance to experience Noah Cyrus live in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this November! Tickets will go on sale from 11am local time, Friday 26 September.
