After a triumphant inaugural sold-out edition earlier this year, Golden Hour is back. As summer winds down, Fuzzy’s sun-soaked farewell is set to jolt Australia’s most iconic shoreline to life, led by homegrown Grammy-nominated punk powerhouse Amyl and The Sniffers, who’ll take the stage for their biggest Australian show yet! “Me and The Girls” hits especially hard this time around – every act on the day is fronted by a woman, with special guests Malyangapa and Barkindji rapper BARKAA and Western Sydney post-punk outfit Xiao Xiao joining them on Thursday 4 March at Bondi Beach/Bidjigal, Birrabirragal and Gadigal Land.
We’re all feeling the pinch, but a summer send-off shouldn’t be off the table. Fuzzy’s $99.90* Affordability Ticket returns for Golden Hour 2027, built to keep live music accessible to everyone, including eligible concession, health care, pension, seniors, and veteran cardholders; recipients of eligible government payments; and tertiary students with a valid student card. MobTix will be available, with discounted tickets for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people – see more info on both here. Looking after the neighbours too, the Locals Presale gives Waverley area residents access to tickets from 10am AEDT on Tuesday 20 October, followed by the General Presale, see all the details below.
From a Melbourne sharehouse to the world’s biggest stages, Amyl and The Sniffers have become Australia’s most explosive rock export, driven by feral live energy and razor-sharp songwriting. Their 2019 self-titled debut won the ARIA Award for Best Rock Album and launched them onto festival stages including Splendour in the Grass, Glastonbury, Coachella, Primavera and Roskilde. Comfort To Me(2021) and Cartoon Darkness (2024) both debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart; the latter, produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Idles), marked their first appearance on the Billboard 200. In 2025, they won four ARIA Awards, including Best Group and Best Album, Best Live Act at the Rolling Stone Australia Awards and APRA Song of the Year for “U Should Not Be Doing That”. Over nearly a decade of relentless touring, they have supported AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day, and played countless sold-out headline shows across Europe, the UK, USA, Australia, Japan, India and beyond. Now fresh off GRAMMY and BRIT Award nominations, the band bring their riotous live show to Australia’s most famous stretch of sand at Golden Hour.
Blak, brilliant and brutally honest, BARKAA has been shaking up Australian hip hop since her 2020 debut. The Malyangapa and Barkindji woman burst onto the scene with unshakeable confidence, and her second single “Our Lives Matter” became a national anthem for First Nations resilience. Her 2022 debut EP Blak Matriarchy earned two ARIA nominations and its hit single “King Brown” won Song of the Year at the NIMAs. 2024 sent things into overdrive: her second EP Big Tidda arrived alongside a sold-out VIVID show at the Sydney Opera House, plus she received Artist of the Year at the NIMAs, Pedestrian’s Game Changer of the Year and an APRA Professional Development Award. From there she’s hit Meredith Music Festival, Beyond the Valley, a Yabun headline slot and played to 90,000 people at the AFL Dreamtime Round, before rounding out 2025 with an ARIA Award for Best Hip Hop / Rap Release and the inaugural NSW First Nations Music Prize. Now one of the country’s most vital voices, she brings her fierce, funny and fearless live show to Bondi Beach next March.
Xiao Xiao are a post-punk project from Western Sydney on Dharug Country, drawing on punk, rap, club music and trip-hop without fully belonging to any of them. Made up of Kitiibwa, Minhyuk, Kalanjay and Himadri, the group carry the tension, humour and unpredictability of the Western suburbs into their sound. With just two releases, they’ve grown a following through online radio, underground communities and word-of-mouth. The debut single “Left, Right” (2025) introduced the project with a confrontational a 1 minute 40 burst that drew international attention; this was followed by “Tips”, released on Lunar New Year 2026, which marked lead singer Kitiibwa’s music video directorial debut. Xiao Xiao is a collision of scenes, languages and disciplines, capturing a side of contemporary Australian subculture that rarely gets highlighted. 2026 is shaping up as the band’s breakout year, with three fbi Radio SMAC Awards for Best Music Video, Song of the Year and Next Big Thing already in the bag. They’re also set to perform at Rising Festival and Open Season, and have just been announced as support on Fcukers’ upcoming Australian tour.
Golden Hour 2027’s artwork comes from Jessica Johnson, a Warumungu/Wombaya artist, designer and owner of Nungala Creative, a 100% Aboriginal-operated agency. Built with a community-facing focus, Nungala Creative prioritises contemporary design, originality and collaboration, producing innovative work with a distinct Aboriginal voice. A contemporary Aboriginal artist and political activist, Johnson is renowned for her experimental style, using her bright, instantly recognisable visual language to confront injustice and celebrate culture and community.
Earlier this year, Golden Hour’s debut show brought major live music back to Bondi Beach for the first time in more than a decade. If this year’s Crowded House show is anything to go by, tickets will sell out fast! Sign up for presale access now here.
