Due to overwhelming demand, Geese today announce additional shows in Sydney and Melbourne to their Australian tour return. Presented by Handsome Tours and Laneway Presents, tickets are on sale Fri 30 Oct @ 10am local. BUY TIX HERE.
Geese will follow up their Sydney Opera House Forecourt appearance with back to back dates onMarch 2 and March 3 (new date added) and Palace Foreshore on March 5 and March 6 (new date added) after a breakout year in support of their critically acclaimed album Getting Killed. Tickets to their Brisbane On The Banks and Auckland NZICC headlines are also selling fast. These 2027 dates mark the band’s second appearance on Australian shores in consecutive years, a testament to the enduring fever of the release.
Their Australian headline debut in February was an emphatic sell out of underplays in support of Laneway Festival. Geese‘s upcoming tour culminates in their largest headline shows in the region after a year of rigorous touring and more: winning International Group at the BRIT Awards, beating HAIM, Tame Impala, Turnstile and HUNTR/X; debuts on NPR‘s Tiny Desk and Saturday Night Live – where Cameron Winter even featured as the subject of a skit – and their biggest hometown headline shows at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York to name a few.
Getting Killed, released in September 2025 through Partisan Records / Play It Again Sam, is the reason. A restless, fractious record that moves between tenderness and fury was named Best New Music by Pitchfork at 9.0. Consequence called it “one of the most creative indie rock records of the 2020s,” and brought the hype around the group to an absolute fever pitch. Geese would be considered the reason for young audiences discovering bands again and asserted that the kids were alright. Critical acclaim followed at every turn, topping year-end lists at the New York Times, Time, The New Yorker, and placing fifth on Rolling Stone.
Cameron Winter‘s live solo album release of his December 2025 performance at Carnegie Hall also landed earlier this month, capturing the historic performance in full at the storied concert hall’s main auditorium. Alone, arched over his piano with his back to an awed, sold-out crowd, the Geese frontman reshaped songs from his acclaimed debut Heavy Metal.
