The Strokes return to Australia in February for the Reality Awaits Australia 2027. The band has played to full houses in North America and Japan, with a string of sold-out dates across the UK, Europe and South America still to come.
The Strokes Reality Awaits Australia 2027 includes 4 dates: Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday 13 February, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 February, and a massive show for Sydney Summertime at Centennial Park in Sydney on Saturday 20 February.
The inaugural Sydney Summertime line-up is immense – featuring The Strokes with special guests Beck, Courtney Barnett, and Promiseland. Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Beck is beloved of Australian audiences, playing countless sold out shows in a career spanning 4 decades, whilst indie rock superstar Courtney Barnett makes a long-awaited return to the spotlight with new album Creature of Habit in tow. Rounding out the line-up is Promiseland, the high-energy project of Johann Rashid, signed to Julian Casablancas’ Cult Records and known for his explosive live performances.
Courtney Barnett and Promiseland are also confirmed as special guests for the Brisbane and Melbourne shows.

The Strokes are the first headliner announced for the inaugural Sydney Summertime concert series, set against the backdrop of Centennial Park, Sydney. The limited season of standalone concerts will bring major international headliners and Australian artists to one of Sydney’s most iconic outdoor settings, just minutes from the Sydney CBD. The event will bring together live music with a range of ticket experiences and a food and beverage offering showcasing Sydney restaurants, bars, food trucks and cellar doors.
These dates are The Strokes’ first Australian headline shows since their sold out run in 2022, the band also headlining Harvest Rock in Adelaide last year, delivering a capacity audience on the Saturday of the 2-day festival.
