I had the pleasure of attending Peach PRC’s sold out concert at The Triffid in Brisbane on Friday for the final night of her Manic Dream Pixie tour and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable evening. From the moment I approached the venue, I was greeted by a sea of pink-clad concertgoers, setting the stage for a vibrant and exciting atmosphere. Stepping inside the venue was like entering a whimsical fairytale; the entire space was transformed into a magical wonderland adorned with enchanting fairy lights and captivating pink accents, It was a sight to behold, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation and excitement.
The concert kicked off with the talented Heleina Zara as the opener, and she immediately captivated the crowd with her incredible stage presence. Her infectious energy and powerful vocals had everyone singing along, not only to her own original songs but also to a few well-loved covers. She was the perfect choice to set the tone for the evening, warming up the audience and preparing us for what was yet to come.
But it was Peach PRC herself who truly stole the show. I had the pleasure of seeing her perform once before but witnessing her in her own headlining show was an entirely different experience. From the very first note, the entire crowd was swept up in a wave of euphoria. The atmosphere was electric, and it seemed as though every single person in the venue was singing at the top of their lungs, lost in the music.
Peach PRC’s performance was nothing short of extraordinary. With an impressive amount of energy, she delivered unforgettable renditions of her popular songs like ‘Loved You Before’, ‘Josh’, ‘Kinda Famous’, and ‘F U Goodbye’. Her stage presence was commanding, effortlessly drawing the audience in and keeping us captivated throughout the entire set. But it was during her heartfelt performance of ‘Favourite Person’ that her raw emotion truly shone through. There was a collective feeling of connection and empathy as we all experienced the powerful lyrics together.
Although she was clearly struggling with being ill and couldn’t talk too much between songs she still pushed through and delivered one of the best sets I have witnessed in a long time.
Just when we thought the concert couldn’t get any better, Peach PRC surprised us with an encore performance of ‘What Dreams Are Made Of’. The crowd erupted in joyous cheers, and it was a truly magical moment. Everyone sang along with unabashed enthusiasm, and the energy in the room was absolutely infectious.
Peach PRC’s concert at The Triffid was an absolute triumph. The atmosphere was mesmerising, the performances were outstanding, and the overall experience was nothing short of phenomenal. If you ever have the opportunity to see Peach PRC live, I highly recommend it. Her talent and stage presence are undeniable, and I guarantee that you’ll leave the concert with a heart full of unforgettable memories.
