Saturday night at the Riverstage marked an unforgettable showcase of rock music, as the co- headliner tour of Pierce the Veil and Beartooth set the stage ablaze, with Dayseeker opening the electrifying night. With a cap of 9500, a sold-out show at the Riverstage is a huge achievement for any band and this was a huge evening of music. The excitement began early, with dedicated fans queuing up hours before the doors opened. The camaraderie among the crowd was palpable, as the line formed as early as 9 PM the night before, swelling to nearly 300 people by 1 PM. The anticipation among the attendees set the tone for a night of unparalleled energy and euphoria.
From the moment they took the stage, Dayseeker’s energy and passion filled the air, captivating the crowd from the first note. Their setlist was a carefully curated selection of their best hits, delivering a mesmerizing display of musical prowess. The crowd was treated to a stunning performance of ‘Sleeptalk’ an absolute favourite among fans, which was met with an eruption of cheers and sing- alongs.

Dayseeker’s ability to connect with the audience was evident as they effortlessly transitioned from one hit to another. ‘Crooked Soul’, ‘Without Me’ and ‘Neon Grave’ resonated deeply with the crowd, each song leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who listened. Their seamless blend of emotive melodies and powerful lyrics created an immersive experience, drawing the audience further into their world with every passing moment. The chemistry between the band members was palpable, their synergy enhancing the performance and making it more engaging. Frontman Rory Rodriguez’s heartfelt vocals and commanding stage presence were a force to be reckoned with, while the rest of the band elevated the performance with their tight musicianship and unwavering passion.
Pierce the Veil wasted no time in making an explosive entrance, kicking off the night with ‘Death of an Executioner’. The crowd was immediately enraptured by the band’s signature blend of intensity and emotion. The energy was electric as they seamlessly transitioned from ‘Southern Constellations’ into ‘The Boy Who Could Fly’; a long-awaited moment for many fans who had dreamt of witnessing this powerful combination live in person. The raw emotion poured into every note, leaving the audience entranced by the band’s exceptional performance.

A particularly memorable moment during the set came during ‘Hold on Till May’. Vic Fuentes, the charismatic frontman of Pierce the Veil, brought a lucky crowd member onto the stage, serenading them with heartfelt lyrics. As the song reached its climax, Vic bestowed upon the fortunate fan the very guitar he had just played. It was a gesture of pure connection and appreciation, creating an extraordinary bond between the band and their devoted audience. This once-in-a-lifetime experience was undoubtedly a highlight of the night and one that the lucky fan will cherish forever.
As Pierce the Veil approached the end of their set, they pulled out all the stops, treating the crowd to a series of surprises. ‘Caraphernalia’, one of their most popular songs, took on new life as they brought out Caleb from Beartooth to deliver an electrifying scream-filled rendition. The stage was charged with energy as both bands merged their talents for an unforgettable collaboration. As the song reached its climax, the crowd erupted into a frenzy of excitement, caught up in the sheer intensity of the moment. Yet, it was the closing moments of ‘Caraphernalia’ that turned the night into something truly magical. As the band paused for a moment, the entire crowd united, their voices echoing throughout the Riverstage, singing back the poignant lyrics, “What’s so good about picking up the pieces?” It was a surreal and deeply emotional moment, a testament to the profound connection between Pierce the Veil and their devoted fanbase. The sense of unity and shared passion filled the air, creating an indescribable atmosphere.

Beartooth’s explosive entrance was an unparalleled display of energy that set the Riverstage ablaze. Frontman Caleb Shomo took the stage with an electrifying presence that commanded the attention of every single person in the audience. From the very first note, it was clear that Beartooth was about to deliver an unforgettable performance that would be etched in the memories of all who were present.

The crowd was captivated from the start, completely enthralled by the sheer intensity and passion that Beartooth brought to their set. Hits like ‘The Lines’, ‘Disease’ and ‘Sunshine’ were delivered with such passion that it felt as though the entire venue was vibrating with raw energy. Their brand- new hit, ‘Might Love Myself’ was met with an explosive response from the crowd, proving that Beartooth’s music resonates deeply with their fans.
As the set progressed, the energy only intensified, and it was during the final song, ‘The Last Riff’ that the night reached its pinnacle of exhilaration. Caleb Shomo fearlessly jumped into the crowd, immersing himself in the middle of the pit while continuing to play his guitar with unmatched skill and intensity. The crowd lifted him up, carrying him as he crowd-surfed while playing – a sight that left everyone in awe. It was a truly surreal and unforgettable moment, a testament to the unbridled passion and dedication that Beartooth brings to their live performances. Beartooth’s set was a first- class display of power and raw emotion, leaving the audience in awe of their musical prowess. The Riverstage became a sea of enthusiastic fans, united in their shared love for Beartooth’s electrifying sound.
