29 November 2025 – Eatons Hill Hotel, Brisbane – words and pictures by Tam Schilling
Eatons Hill Hotel played host to a night of pure rock energy, kicking off with a punchy support slot from Willie J’s 6v6s and building to Sebastian Bach’s full-throttle headline performance. The venue’s spacious layout and booming sound system suited the show perfectly, giving both bands plenty of room to make an impact.
Willie J’s 6v6s opened the evening with a set that set the tone perfectly. Their blend of blues-rock swagger and tight musicianship warmed up the crowd fast, with riffs that filled the room and a stage presence that felt comfortably at home on a big stage. They’re the kind of band you don’t mind hearing for the first time, you’re sold within a song or two.

But the night belonged to Sebastian Bach, who burst onto the stage with the attitude, charisma, and unapologetic vocal force that fans have come to expect. Despite decades in the business, Bach delivered with the energy of someone who still loves every second of being onstage. His voice was sharp, still powerful and cut through Eatons Hill like a siren, especially on the Skid Row classics from the 1989 Album ‘Skid Row’ that got the crowd roaring.

Backed by a killer band including his son Paris Bach on drums. Bach balanced nostalgia with raw rock-and-roll showmanship. His banter was cheeky and genuine, jumping between jokes, memories, and a few heartfelt moments. Right after belting out ‘Rattlesnake’, Bach addresses the crowd “sorry I fucked the words up, the words in the first verse I fucked up. We don’t got no fucking computers and shit, we are the real fucking deal. The crowd fed off his enthusiasm with hands in the air, hair flying, everyone singing along to ’18 and Life’, ‘I Remember You’ and ‘Youth Gone Wild’.

The production was solid, loud (as it should be), and perfectly matched to his larger-than-life delivery. There’s something refreshing about seeing an artist who doesn’t phone it in, Bach gave everything that fans came for: a night of classic, old-school metal delivered with heart and humour.
Tonight Sebastian Bach showed exactly why he remains a favourite in the music world because he is powerful, entertaining, and completely unfiltered.
