Interview by Lucas Bell
Legendary Melbourne 5-piece Behind Crimson Eyes have announced their final body of work and subsequent farewell tour, following the band’s decision to hang up their instruments after 20+ years in the game. The band’s final EP ‘An Exodus From Eden’ is set for release on the 4th of April, with the 2nd single from the EP ‘Burn It Down’ out as of today.
‘Burn It Down’ is a metalcore epic in every sense of the word. Seamlessly weaving between hard-hitting riffage, frontman Josh Stuart’s signature growl, and stunning uplifting vocal melodies in the chorus – ‘Burn It Down’ is a masterclass in dynamic songwriting. Lyrically, the track acts as a call to action – challenging the listener to rise up against inequality and social injustice.
With only a few months left before the band calls it quits on an incredible 21 year career, Josh Stuart from Behind Crimson Eyes sat down with Lucas to discuss the bands history, opening for Iron Maiden, and the release of their final EP, An Exodus of Eden, due for release on April 4th.
